Without a doubt, among the many projects we have worked on this year, episode one of Electro Andes stands out: a first-level animated production made entirely in Argentina.

Bellolandia Studio entrusted us with creating the original Spanish-language voices, voice casting, voice direction, sound design, and audio mixing for this project.

It was an exciting challenge, and the work was carried out in close collaboration with the Bellolandia team. They had the opportunity to attend every recording session, as we co-created a unique language and accent for the series. The goal was to make it sound distinctly Argentine, but not specifically a porteño accent (from Buenos Aires), while also incorporating words and expressions from other regions of the country.

At Waira, as a dubbing studio, we worked alongside our directors Alejandro Bono and Mauricio Castro Corbino —who, in addition to recording the voices, handled much of the sound design and mixing— to guide the client through casting decisions for each character and help develop a distinctive style for every one of them.

When it comes to reaching Spanish-speaking audiences, neutral Spanish dubbing is usually the go-to approach. In this case, however, Electro Andes aims to make its mark on the animation market with a production that reflects 100% of Argentina’s culture. It also presents a futuristic storyline that mirrors the world we live in today, featuring numerous references to the history of our country, as well as shadowy corporations that dominate markets and put human life at risk.

As for the cast, we had the pleasure of working with outstanding voice talents, including Osias Lobos, Kotori Hikari, Sebastián Llapur, Luciana Falcón, Carlos Romero Franco, Noelia Lestani, and Martín Mariano Méndez, among others.

Below, we’re sharing a few words from one of the directors, Mauricio Castro Corbino:

“It’s an enormous honor to be part of this incredible project. As you probably know, there aren’t many animated productions like this made in Latin America, especially with this level of passion and production. I’m a huge fan of animated series and animé. As soon as I saw this project, I immediately recognized the series’ potential and knew I wanted to help bring this world to life and make it as incredible as its creators had imagined.

Being able to help bring the Electro Andes universe to life has been a wonderful experience.

When we first met with Bellolandia, Alejandro Bono immediately came to mind as the right person to direct the voice performances for this project. Ale is an incredibly talented voice actor with extensive experience in animé, both as an actor and a director.

I also had the pleasure of helping with voice recording, dialogue editing, casting decisions, much of the sound design, and the final audio mix. On top of that, I got to contribute as a voice actor myself, performing the voices of the zombie horde in the episode. It was an incredibly fun experience, and I absolutely loved doing it.”

Episode 1 premiered on YouTube on October 4, 2026, and in just seven days, it had been watched by 2.5 million people. And the numbers keep growing! We’re confident that this series will set an important precedent for Argentine animation, and we look forward to continuing to be part of its growth.
